An IKEA kitchen remodel was just the begining of this Oregon kitchen remodel.  We opened up the wall into the living room and added a peninsula.  The peninsula doubles as storage and a great place to gather with the family.  The shelves you see in the first after picture are customed made to match the IKEA adel birch.  We kept most of the existing appliances and placed them in more usable spots.  The refrigerator is now more hidden instead of being and obsticle in the room.  Taking down the wall and adding better lighting made this room more comfortable.
