John Webb Construction & Design designed the kitchen for free in Oregon. We installed the Lidingo IKEA cabinets with a two man team of carpenters. The project took about 3 weeks to complete. As contractors we have 4 teams of carpenters and only use Electricians, plumbers, and roofers as sub-contractors.
A fresh piece of granite and some nice bright white cabinetry transformed this room with removing any walls. The Lindingo "Lidi" cabinetry from IKEA has a great traditional style that kept the homes aesthetic intact while giving the home owner great function. The IKEA cabinets all come with German Blum hinges and soft closing mechanisms.
The Diamond Arrow Granite from Elemar in Portland Oregon was the show piece for this kitchen. It has nice rich blue veins running through the natural rock. Glass 4"x8" subway tile was used for the backsplash. IKEA's glass cabinetry was used over the peninsula. a bar over hang was added to the kitchen for her family to sit when they visit in Oregon.
Several recessed lights were added. We used the recessed lights because of the low ceiling in the home. Pendant lights would look odd. Crown molding was added to kitchen and the adjoining living room.
The sink is Kraus's 30" under mount. It is a great quality sink for a great price. It has sound dampeners and thick 16 gauge steel. Hansgrohe's Alegro faucet was used. Lansa pulls were used in various sizes. Crown molding was added the rest of the living room.
The bar overhand was designed and installed on the owners request. Her small dining table was taken out of this room to make room for a bar over hang.
The garnite has beautiful blues running through it, yet is it has lots of white to keep the room bright. Darker granites can often make small kitchen kitchen look smaller. A dark counter top show more finger prints and dust.
Electric cook top with a built in oven and microwave. Diamond Arrow granite is the counter top.
